For example, political polarization can happen when people strongly support either conservative or liberal ideologies, and have little to no common ground or compromise.

Very Simple Definition:

Polarization is when people or ideas have completely different views and don’t agree at all. For example, some people really support abortion and some people really oppose it, and they don’t like each other’s opinion.
