Simple Definition:

Identity refers to the unique characteristics, attributes, and qualities that make a person who they are. It includes their personal traits, beliefs, values, experiences, and relationships. For example, someone’s identity can be shaped by their nationality [the country a person belongs to], gender, occupation, hobbies, or cultural background [he customs, traditions, and beliefs of a particular group].

Very Simple Definition:

Identity is what makes each person different and special. It is all the things that make you who you are, like your name, the way you look, the things you like to do, and the people you know. For example, ome person’s identity might be that he is a boy named Dave, he loves playing soccer, and lives in a small quiet town.
