A eunuch is a person who has been castrated [had their genitals removed] and therefore cannot reproduce. Eunuchs were often used in ancient times to serve in the courts of kings and emperors.

Examples:

  • In ancient China, eunuchs were employed as servants in the imperial palace.
  • Some eunuchs in ancient Egypt held high positions in the royal administration.

Very Simple Definition:

A eunuch is a person whose genitals [private parts] have been remoed. Long ago, kings and emperors had eunuchs work for them.

Examples:

  • The emperor of China employed eunuchs in important positions.
